La MRC de Pontiac est heureuse d’annoncer la complétion d’un projet structurant : leThe MRC Pontiac is pleased to announce the completion of a major project: the Pontiac Transportation Hub, located on its land at the intersection of two major highways, Route 148 and Route 301 North. This new development marks an important step in the development of public transportation and sustainable mobility in the region.

The project’s main achievements include:

  • A new secure entrance connecting Route 148 to Route 301 North, facilitating access to the site and allowing buses to circulate safely on the MRC’s property;
  • A bus stop with a shelter for the 910 intercity bus line operated by Transcollines;
  • A park-and-ride facility for carpoolers and public transit users;
  • The installation of five charging stations for electric vehicles;
  • Landscaping to green the site and reduce the visual and environmental footprint of paved surfaces.

“This transportation hub is becoming a key location for travel in the Pontiac. It is an essential investment to improve mobility and support sustainable development in our region,” said Jane Toller, Warden of the MRC Pontiac.

This project is part of a broader vision to improve public transit services throughout the Pontiac MRC. Transcollines plans to roll out an on-demand transit service (TAD) along Route 148 in the near future.

The Carrefour transport du Pontiac is made possible thanks to a revitalization agreement between the Pontiac MRC and the ministère des Affaires municipales et de l’Habitation as part of the Fonds régions et ruralité (Regional and Rural Fund).
