Under section 98 of the Act, the person responsible for access to information\u00a0has 20 calendar days from the date of receipt of the request to respond. However, this period may be extended by 10 days if necessary.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7ecac40b e-con-full e-flex e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"7ecac40b\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4cd0c4ba elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4cd0c4ba\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Reproduction Costs<\/h4><p>Fees may apply\u00a0for the transcription, reproduction or transmission of documents. (See the bylaw to this effect on the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cai.gouv.qc.ca\/lois-et-reglements\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Commission for access to information in Quebec<\/a>\u2018s website.)<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-bdb90e6 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"bdb90e6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h4>Appeal following a refusal<\/h4><p>Section 135 of the Act provides that a person whose request is refused in whole or in part by the person responsible for access to information may ask\u00a0the Commission to review this decision.
